"Bailed Up" by Tom Roberts is now the most famous Australian painting in the Art Gallery of NSW, with an estimated worth of $12M. Other events held included the re-enactment of "Bailed Up" on the Newstead Paradise Road, an Art Walk, a Street Party, Art Workshops, film evenings, poetry readings, Tom Roberts Heritage Tours and much more. The Festival attracted hundreds of visitors from all over Australia.
'Opera in the Paddock' - this highly successful outdoor music event is now an inaugural event on the North West New South Wales Art's Calendar. Audiences travel from throughout the State, regional centres and cities alike. Set in the beautiful bush setting of the property 'Mimosa', Delungra, 25 km's west of Inverell, patrons enjoy a wonderfully social experience prior to the commencement of the concert on dusk.

The Inverell Pipe Band is a voluntary organisation aiming to foster a friendly family based environment and encourage participation and education in piping and drumming. The band provides a social meeting place where interested people can practice and perform music.

The Inverell Sapphire City Festival is held every year to celebrate the arrival of spring, during the month of October. The festival is run over 3 weekends and is full of fun and features numerous events, culminating in a Festival Parade, Grande Finale and Crowning of Festival Princesses and Queens.
