Exhibitions & Displays
The library has regularly changing visual displays. These may include internal materials, local organisations, or travelling exhibitions from State or National bodies.
Newsletter
The library periodically produces a newsletter to inform the community of library events and programs.
Special Events
The library regularly hosts special events, including author visits, guest speakers, and participation in National events such as Book Week & Law Week.
Friends of the library
The Friends are a group of enthusiastic library supporters whose aims are:
- Raising funds for collections and equipment
- Supporting the Library
- Organising cultural and literary events
- Assisting in library projects
- Being a part of a valuable community group
Membership is simple – just fill out a form (available at the library) and pay a small annual membership fee
Adults $2.00/annum
Concession/Students $2.00/annum
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 10.30am at the Inverell Shire Public Library. All are welcome, and there is no obligation to join before attending a meeting.
Booksale
The Inverell Friends of the Library regularly conduct booksales. The material sold comprises withdrawn library stock, and donated items unsuitable for the library collection. Funds raised from the booksale are used by the Friends to support the library through a variety of projects. The date for the next booksale is: to be advised |
