Library Services
Reservations
Borrowers are able to reserve library materials that are on loan. A fee of 80 cents is charged per reserve and is payable upon receipt of the item. Members are notified by mail when their reserve is available for collection. Reserved items will be held for one week, if not collected by that time they are placed back on the shelves. Reserves may be created in person, by telephone or via the library catalogue.
Document Delivery Service
Material and information that is not available from the Library can be accessed through the Document Delivery Service of the New South Wales State Library. A fee of $4.00 is payable per request, plus any fee applied by the supplying Library.
When the material is available, members are notified by mail/phone. Uncollected material will be held by the Library until the due date of return.

Home Library Service
The Library provides a home library service for members who are unable to visit the library and select items for themselves. Members who receive the home library service are able to borrow the same items as other members.
Bulk Loans
The Library provides bulk loans to a number of schools through the Inverell Shire.
Computer Services
Computers are available for public access at the library. A number of different software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets are available. The library also has a range of CD Rom products available for use in the Library. It is recommended that members book time on the computer to ensure access. Computer users are required to be a library member, and to bring their library card with them.
Internet Services
The Library has a number of computers available providing free Internet access for members. Members are asked to read the Inverell Library's Internet Policy before commencing their Internet session. A Parents Guide to the Internet is also available to parents/guardians.
Printing
Members are able to print from the public access computers. Black and white printing costs 15 cents per page.
Photocopying
A photocopier is available for visitors to the Library to use. Charges for photocopying are as follows:

The Library provides a laminating service. Charges for laminating are as follows:

Data Projector Hire
The library has a data projector which is available for hire. The hire charge per day or part thereof is $55.00 (GST inclusive). Please ask library staff for more information on this equipment, and hire conditions.
Special Collections
Agricultural
The Agricultural collection contains resources to support the agricultural community of Inverell, and includes print and visual materials. A “sheep” label on the spine identifies the material.
Drug info @ your library
The Drug info @ your library collection contains material about drug use in Australia. It is a special project of the State Library of New South Wales. For more information please visit the Drug info @ your library website.
Indigenous
The Indigenous collection contains all of the Inverell library’s material by or about Indigenous people. An Aboriginal flag label on the spine identifies the material.
LIAC
The LIAC (Legal Information Access Centre) collection contains up-to-date “plain-english” legal resources. It is a special project of the State Library of New South Wales. For more information please visit the Liac website.
Motor Manuals
The Motor Manual collection contains workshop manuals for cars, motorbikes, boats, tractors and small engines. A “car” label identifies the material.
Parenting
The Parenting collection contains material about pregnancy, birth and child rearing. A collection of picture books about issues for young children (such as death or starting school) is an important part of this collection. A “families” label identifies the material.
Mental Health & Wellness
The Mental Health & Wellness collection contains material about mental illness, coping with difficulties, and mental wellbeing for those with mental illness and their carers. The collection had been developed as an initiative of New England Area Mental Health. A “rainbow” label identifies the material.
Young Adults & Teen Services
The library has a special collection of material for teen borrowers, including books, magazines, graphic novels, music and movies. A large HSC support collection is available for students. Childrens Services
The library has a wide range of material for junior borrowers, including board and picture books, learn-to-read books, fiction and non fiction, music, movies, magazines and books on tape or cd.
