    Planning & Community Committee

The Planning & Community Committee is a major Committee of Council. It consists of five elected members, with the Mayor being an ex-officio member of all Committees. The Planning & Community Committee meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 8.30 am. The Committee is chaired by a Councillor elected by the Committee from its members.

The responsibility of this Committee is to make recommendations to Council for consideration on the following matters:

  • Development Assessment
  • Waste Services
  • Strategic Planning
  • Swimming Pools
  • Ordinance Services
  • Caravan Parks
  • Public Health
  • Environmental Issues
  • Building
  • Cemeteries
  • Library
No decision of the Committee is binding on Council unless Council makes a specific delegation of authority.
