The Inverell Pool is a 50 metre pool with a boom that raises and lowers, allowing the shallow 25 metre section to be heated during the winter months. The 25 metre section was enclosed with a timber laminated structure to allow the enclosure to be heated as well as the pool water.

The facility now provides Inverell and the surrounding district with a pool that can be utilised all year round. The water temperature is maintained at 28 degrees celsius and the air temperature approximately 30 degrees celsius during winter.

The structure not only provides an enclosure for winter, but also a 99.9% UV free area in summer over the 25 metres of the pool.

In summer the pool is open from 5:30am to 7:30am, 11:00am to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 7:00pm Monday to Thursday. Open on Fridays from 5:30am to 7:30am, 11:00am to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

In winter the pool is open from 11am to 1:30pm and 3pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday, 11am to 1:30pm and 3pm to 6pm on Friday and from 11am to 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.
